to the VBCodebook for VB
.NET. The idea came about when I purchased a copy of VB.NET standard and
was overwhelmed by how different it is from VB6 which I was using, i'm
fairly familiar with VB6 (I can throw together a basic program) but VB.NET
had me scratching my head, I didn't even know how to exit an application!
What I then tried to do was search the internet for code snippets, tips, advice, workarounds and anything else I could find to help me understand VB.NET better. First I collected them in a simple text file, then I asked for code snippets on various Forums and in return i'd compile them and share them with anyone who's interested as a Word document. Someone then asked 'why not create a VB project to display the code snippets', I thought this was an excellent idea, that way, everyone could view them (as some people might not have Word.)
So here you have it, a program that display's all the stuff i'm collecting. As I learn VB.NET better, the better the VBCodebook will become. Hopefully, the more stuff I collect, the more update the VBCodebook will become.
If you wish to send anything, or you find something that doesn't work or there is something there that you know a better way of doing, then please send your suggestions (under Feedback: User Feedback).
I hope you find it useful, I know I did :) PLEASE SIGN THE GUESTBOOK! (makes me feel better ;)
